By accessing, registering, or purchasing any subscription plan on IgboSpeak, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
IgboSpeak is a digital education service providing structured online Igbo language learning programs delivered through a membership-based subscription system.
1. Eligibility
To use IgboSpeak and purchase subscriptions, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction
- If under 18, you must have consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian
- You must have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and checkout
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or restrict access if eligibility requirements are not met or if fraudulent information is detected.
2. User Accounts
To access certain features, such as booking tutoring sessions or tracking progress, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the security of your password and account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@igbospeak.com.
- Be responsible for all activities under your account.

3. Business Model Overview
IgboSpeak operates a digital mambership-based educational platform. Users gain access to structured language learning content through paid membership plans.
The Platform provides:
- Video-based lessons
- Structured curriculum modules
- Learning exercises and assessments
- Member-only educational resources
- Continuous updates to learning materials
Access is strictly time-limited and dependent on an active subscription.
4. Subscription Plan
We offer the following subscription options:
- 8-week program (single billing cycle structure)
- 10-week program (simgle billing cycle structure)
- 10-week program (single billing cycle structure)
- 8-month membership (single billing cycle)
- 12-month membership (single billing cycle options)
Each plan grants access for the full duration of the selected subscription term.
We may update, modify, or discontinue plans at any time with reasonable notice.
5. Payments, Billing & Authorisation
By purchasing a subscription, you explicitly authorize IgboSpeak and its payment processor (PayPal) to charge your selected payment method for:
- The initial subscription fee at checkout
- Any recurring billing charges associated with your selected subscription plan (where applicable)
- Renewal payments until cancellation is requested
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Payments are processed securely via PayPal
- Payment details may be stored securely by PayPal for recurring billing purposes
- Future charges may occur automatically without requiring additional customer authorization
- You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds for recurring payments
This includes authorization for reference transactions or equivalent PayPal billing agreements to ensure uninterrupted service access.
6. Billing Disclosure
Our membership plans are offered as single billing cycle (one-time payment) and do not renew automatically.
By purchasing a membership, you acknowledge that:
- You are making a single, upfront payment for a fixed access period based on your selected plan
- Your access will remain active for the duration specified (e.g., weeks or months) and will expire automatically at the end of that period
- No automatic renewal or recurring charges will occur
- Any future access requires a new, separate purchase
Access to digital content is provided for the purchased duration only, and continuity of access depends on manual renewal by the user.
All billing terms are clearly disclosed prior to purchase.
6.1 Recurring Billing Disclosure
In the case we intend to make changes, some subscription plans may operate on automatic renewal cycles
By subscribing, you acknowledge:
- Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled
- Billing occurs according to the selected plan schedule
- Charges will be automatically processed without additional confirmation
- Subscription continuity is essential for uninterrupted access to digital content

7. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time.

Cancellation terms:
- Cancellation prevents any future billing only
- Access continues until the end of the current paid period
- No retroactive or partial refunds are issued for unused time
- It is the user’s responsibility to cancel before renewal
Failure to cancel before the next billing cycle will result in automatic charge.
8. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of digital educational content, all sales are generally final.
Refunds may only be issued in limited circumstances, including:
- Duplicate billing errors
- Verified technical issues preventing access
- Unauthorized transactions confirmed after investigation
- Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment.
Refunds will NOT be granted for:
- Change of mind after purchase
- Lack of usage or engagement
- Failure to cancel subscription on time
- Dissatisfaction after accessing digital content
9. User Conduct
By using IgboSpeak, you agree NOT to:
- Share, distribute, or resell course content
- Copy or reproduce learning materials
- Attempt unauthorized access to the Platform
- Use automated systems or bots to access content
- Engage in fraudulent or abusive activity
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Disrupt or interfere with platform operations
We reserve full rights to restrict or terminate access for violations without prior notice.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on IgboSpeak is protected under intellectual property laws.
This includes:
- Videos
- Course materials
- Text, graphics, and branding
- Platform structure and curriculum design
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal educational use only.
You may NOT:
- Copy or redistribute content
- Sell or sublicense materials
- Share access credentials
- Republish content in any form
11. Fraud Protection & Security
We actively monitor transactions for fraud prevention and account protection.
We may:
- Suspend accounts pending verification
- Flag suspicious transactions
- Request identity or payment verification
- Cancel subscriptions linked to fraudulent activity
We rely on PayPal’s built-in fraud detection systems alongside internal monitoring procedures.
12. Digital Delivery & Access Rights
All services are delivered digitally.
Upon successful payment:
- Access is granted immediately or within a short activation period
- Access is tied to active subscription status
- Content is non-transferable and for personal use only
We reserve the right to modify, update, or enhance content at any time.
13. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue services
- Adjust subscription pricing or features
- Update content or curriculum structure
- Improve or replace platform functionality
We will provide reasonable notice where applicable.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or other reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends, and we may delete your data (subject to our Privacy Policy). Sections that survive termination include Intellectual Property, Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law.

15. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free Content, or specific learning outcomes. Tutors are independent contractors, and we are not responsible for their actions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- IgboSpeak shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We are not responsible for user-side technical issues or internet disruptions
- Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the subscription in question
16. Indemnification
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IgboSpeak, its owners, employees, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your infringement of any third-party rights
- Any unauthorized or illegal activity conducted through your account
This includes legal fees and costs incurred in defending such claims.
17. Privacy & Data Handling
Your personal data is handled in accordance with applicable privacy standards.
We may collect:
- Account information
- Payment-related metadata (via PayPal)
- Usage activity within the platform
We do not store full payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by PayPal.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles
19. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and IgboSpeak
- Severability: If any clause is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable
- No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute waiver
- Assignment: We may transfer rights or obligations without prior notice
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for disruptions beyond reasonable control (e.g., internet outages, natural disasters, platform failures)
Terms for Tutors/Instructors
These Instructor Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between IgboSpeak (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and any individual or entity (“Instructor”, “you”, or “your”) who registers, uploads, or provides educational content on igbospeak.com.
By registering as an Instructor, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform as an Instructor.
20.1 Tutor Eligibility and Onboarding
- You must be a qualified Igbo speaker with relevant teaching experience or certifications (e.g., native fluency, teaching credentials). Submit proof during application.
- We review and approve Tutor applications at our discretion. Approved Tutors must complete onboarding, including background checks if required.
- You represent that you are legally authorized to work as a Tutor in your jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to approve, reject, or remove any Instructor account at our discretion.
20.2 Instructor Account Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, high-quality Igbo lessons in a professional manner.
- Adhere to scheduled sessions; notify us and students of cancellations at least 24 hours in advance.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information per our Privacy Policy.
- Use platform tools (e.g., video chat) appropriately and report technical issues promptly.
- Comply with all laws, including those related to education and data protection.
- You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details
- All activities conducted under your account
- Ensuring your profile information is accurate and up to date
- You must not share your account with others or impersonate another individual.
20.3 Compensation
- Tutors earn a commission per session or package, as agreed in your Tutor agreement. Payments are processed [e.g., monthly] via [e.g., bank transfer or PayPal], minus platform fees.
- You are responsible for your own taxes and expenses.
- We may withhold payments for disputes, violations, or chargebacks.
20.4 Content and Intellectual Property
- All materials are created and uploaded by Igbospeak but if any materials you create or upload are been given access to be published, they become part of the platform and you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute them.
- Do not use copyrighted materials without permission
All Platform-related materials (excluding Instructor Content), including logos, branding, and system design, remain the property of IgboSpeak.
You may not copy, modify, or distribute Platform materials without permission.
20.5 Conduct and Prohibitions
- Treat students respectfully; no discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior.
- Do not solicit students off-platform or compete directly with Igbospeak.
- Report any student misconduct to support@igbospeak.com
Instructors must not upload or share content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, or fraudulent
- Promotes hate speech, discrimination, or violence
- Contains explicit or inappropriate material
- Infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property
- Includes false claims or deceptive information
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules.
20.6 Course Creation and Quality Standards
Instructors are expected to:
- Deliver clear, structured, and valuable educational content
- Maintain good audio and video quality
- Provide accurate course descriptions and expectations
- Update courses when necessary to keep them relevant
Repeated poor-quality content may result in suspension or removal.
20.7 Pricing and Revenue
- Pricing for instructors courses are subject to the Platform guidelines
- IgboSpeak may run promotions or discounts at its discretion
- Revenue sharing structure will be defined separately and may be updated from time to time
Instructors agree to the Platform’s pricing policies and any changes made.
20.8 Payments to Instructors
- Earnings will be calculated based on successful student enrollments
- Payment schedules and methods will be communicated separately
- Instructors are responsible for providing accurate payment details
IgboSpeak reserves the right to withhold or adjust payments in cases of:
- Fraudulent activity
- Policy violations
- Refunds issued to students
20.9. Refunds and Student Rights
- Students may be entitled to refunds according to the Platform’s refund policy
- Refunds may affect
- Instructor earnings
Instructors agree to comply with all student protection policies
21 Instructor Conduct
Instructors must:
- Treat students respectfully
- Avoid harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
- Provide support and respond to student inquiries where applicable
Failure to maintain professional conduct may lead to account suspension.
21.1 Platform Rights
IgboSpeak reserves the right to:
- Review, approve, or remove courses
- Suspend or terminate Instructor accounts
- Modify or discontinue any feature of the Platform
- Enforce these Terms at its sole discretion
21.2 Termination for Tutors
This Agreement may be terminated:
- By you, at any time by closing your account
- By IgboSpeak, if you violate these Terms
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Platform will be revoked
- Existing student access to purchased courses may continue
- We may terminate your Tutor status for poor performance, complaints, or violations.
21.3 Confidentiality
You agree not to disclose any confidential information obtained through the Platform, including:
- Student data
- Business operations
- Platform technology
21.4 Liability
IgboSpeak is not liable for:
- Loss of income or revenue
- Technical interruptions
- Student disputes
- Unauthorized access to your account
Use of the Platform is at your own risk.
21.5 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IgboSpeak from any claims, damages, or legal issues arising from:
- Your Course Content
- Your conduct on the Platform
- Violation of these Terms
21.6 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
20. Acceptance
By registering as an Instructor on igbospeak.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
